Cleanest public sector in the world:
Keeping fraud at bay
The New Zealand public sector is generally seen as having a very "clean" image when it comes to fraud and corruption.
To gain a better understanding of fraud awareness, prevention and detection within the New Zealand public sector, the Office of the Auditor General commissioned PwC to undertake a survey of almost 1500 people working in the public sector.
The survey had an excellent 74% response rate and the results give very reliable insights into fraud in the New Zealand public sector.
