Paul has 20 years experience in insurance, financial services and actuarial consulting in New Zealand. He qualified as an actuary in 1993. Paul became a consulting actuary in 1995 and joined PwC in 2002.

His consulting assignments have included:

Market valuations of insurance companies for sale and purchase
Financial reporting
General Insurance short tail reserving
Accident Insurance reserving and pricing
Health insurance pricing and modelling
Financial and stochastic modelling for a variety of organisations
Statistical analysis of risk
Electricity pricing
Climate change and greenhouse gas inventories
Management information system design
Product development, including pricing and system design

Paul is a member of both the New Zealand Society of Actuaries General Insurance and Health Insurance Committees.
