Partner, PwC New Zealand
Eugen is a GST specialist and leads PwC’s Indirect Taxes practice.
Eugen has deep experience in the GST and Customs areas and thrives on finding effective solutions for clients. He is regarded as a leading commentator on GST law reform and design, and you might find his considered opinions throughout the media and in journals – he’s usually one of the first to spot an issue with, or praise, a new piece of tax legislation.
With a background in tax law, Eugen was previously a Partner at a large commercial law firm and has also practised in Australia. Joining PwC in 2006, Eugen has advised near-countless businesses, industries and industry bodies, the Government and Inland Revenue on numerous GST and Customs matters.
Eugen also brings significant experience in the property, public, retirement, remote services, financial services, retail, energy, insolvency and telecom sectors – but his interests stretch even further than that. He is a fan of almost every sport, is a scholar of foreign languages and speaks Croatian fluently – so if you see him around, feel free to say ‘Dobar dan’.
