As CEO and Senior Partner, Mark leads our team of more than 130 partners and over 1,600 staff, who are focused on building trust and helping New Zealand businesses solve their most important problems. He’s responsible for all aspects of PwC New Zealand’s relationship with other PwC member firms and PwC Global. He sits on the PwC ASEANZ (Australia, South East Asia and New Zealand) Consulting Board, PwC Asia Pacific Leadership Team and the PwC Americas-Asia Pacific Leadership Team.
Mark is focused on bringing what’s happening globally to the fore in New Zealand and making these developments relevant for New Zealanders and our economy. With significant people leadership experience, Mark believes in growing and developing leaders who are relevant for the future – creating leaders who catch the wave of change first and connect New Zealand to the world stage.
With proven success in creating team based and collegial environments, Mark's leadership experience includes building market-leading teams, strengthening market position, and developing strategies for sustainable profitable growth.
Mark has over 34 years of experience, including almost 20 years as a Partner at PwC. Prior to his current CEO role, Mark was the National Deals Leader for PwC New Zealand’s market-leading Deals practice. He brings significant experience working across a wide range of industries, with a broad range of clients including corporates, local authorities, private equity firms, Iwi, as well as a significant number of private companies.
Mark also sits on the New Zealand China Council Board and is a member of the New Zealand Champions for Change. In 2019 he was made a fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ).
