Director, Sustainability & Climate Change, PwC New Zealand
Pamela is motivated by ensuring sustainability is integrated within ‘business as usual’ practices to achieve the greatest environmental benefits. She has experience managing environmental, social and governance (ESG) - and wider reputational risk – within the Risk function of a UK-headquartered bank. This includes writing sector ESG policies to reflect emerging issues, international treaties, and company strategy, as well as assessing organisations and transactions through an ESG risk lens.
Disclosure of ESG and climate risk is an essential step to drive environmental action. To this end, Pamela has experience developing strategy on how an organisation can adapt its risk frameworks to manage the financial risks of climate change. She also developed a tool to automate the collation of internal ESG data, and automatically sort and present the data for external annual reporting purposes.
Pamela has significant consultancy experience managing environmental and social assessments of major infrastructure projects across Australia and the UK.
