Richard is a Partner in PwC’s Consulting Practice, and is based in Wellington.  His focus is on providing financial, business and economic advisory services to the public sector and brings significant experience working in and consulting to Government.

With four years executive leadership experience at the Treasury, Richard’s previous responsibilities included the Budget and fiscal management approach, the performance of the state sector, national infrastructure policy, capital asset management, health, housing, justice, defence, security and the Canterbury earthquake recovery.

So, when he’s tasked with working on a public-private partnership, for example, he has the deep knowledge, skills and insight into the functioning of the public management system to identify the best possible outcome. He provides particular value through the application of private-sector commercial, financial and management practices and disciplines in a public sector environment – or at the interface between.
