John Schellekens

John is a Deals partner focused on real estate. His particular focus is on property transaction advisory and execution, and providing property advice across a range of institutional, private and government clients.
He has over 30 years’ experience across a wide range of property sectors and competencies, which underpins his commercial and transactional advice.
John is a Fellow of the New Zealand Property Institute and Institute of Valuers, a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and holds a Masters of Property. He is previous Chairman of the PINZ Valuation and Property Standards Board and previous board member of the New Zealand Green Building Council.
In his spare time, John plays in a band and enjoys kitesurfing and skiing.
