Manukura: Ko wai mātou | Who we are
Manukura is PwC New Zealand’s national collective of Māori, bringing together more than 100 Māori and non Māori kaimahi (professionals) across Aotearoa. We bring together deep cultural knowledge, commercial expertise and trusted relationships, supported by PwC’s wider local and global capabilities.
Our purpose is embodied by the whakatauākī (proverb):
"He taukaea tangata ka renarena, he taukaea raruraru ka wetekina"

As relationship builders, connectors between te ao Māori and business, we are guided by our mātāpono of Whakapapa, Whakamana, Tauutuutu, Rangatiratanga, Whanaungatanga and Manaakitanga, bringing cultural knowledge and commerical understanding to create meaningful and enduring outcomes.
Tō mātou tohu I Our tohu
The Manukura tohu is a visual expression of who we are, what we stand for and what we aspire to achieve. Developed collectively through wānanga, it represents our shared identity, purpose and commitment to enabling Māori success and prosperity.
Grounded in mātauranga Māori, the tohu reflects leadership, connection, movement and aspiration – looking forward while remaining connected to where we have come from. The manu represents Manukura carrying the moemoeā of our people into new places and spaces, drawing on the collective pūkenga, relationships and strengths of Manukura and the wider Firm.
For PwC, the tohu provides a meaningful expression of Māoritanga and kaupapa Māori, connecting our work with the aspirations of iwi, hapori, whānau and the organisations we work alongside. More than a visual identity, it represents the why, what and how of Manukura and the future we are collectively working towards.
