Peter Cody

Peter is passionate about helping clients achieve their objectives whether that involves growing, maintaining or exiting a business, Business is personal and Peter always looks to build strong relationships with clients so that he can combine a deep understanding of their business with his commercial acumen to deliver challenging insights. He takes great pride in seeing the tangible difference that the Canterbury Private Business team makes for businesses.

Peter has held several positions with PwC in our Auckland, London and Christchurch offices. In addition, he has held several commercial and financial roles within businesses during a break from PwC. Peter looks to combine his technical accounting expertise with his practical business experience, to deliver insightful and commercially focused support to his clients.

His clients range from technology start up’s looking to take the first steps in their journey through to larger mature businesses looking to reinvent themselves. Peter provides a full range of business advisory, strategic planning, financial and commercial services to the small to medium business segments. These services range from business succession, strategic planning and business/capital structuring services through to accounting and tax compliance requirements

With wife Cynthia, Peter has four children and loves spending time with the family in the outdoors with weekends filled with snow skiing in winter and water skiing in summer. Peter also enjoys running and generally staying active having completed his first marathon in 2015 with goals of a few more.
