Graduate programme

At PwC, the future of work looks a lot like you

Great learning takes place on the job and our Graduate programme is designed to launch your career from day one.

We’ll support your development from the start. You can choose to study towards a professional qualification, or take a break from the books and enjoy all the non-work related personal development available here.

A place on our Graduate programme is your opportunity to bring your unique skill set and perspective out to play.

Come work with our human-led, tech-powered community of solvers. Three great reasons to join:

  • You’ll be valued - we’re a people business.
  • There are endless opportunities - grab these with both hands.

  • You can develop both professionally and personally - come find out.

  • You’ll be a New Zealand or Australian citizen or resident; or a holder of a valid work visa allowing full time employment in New Zealand at the intended start date of the graduate programme.
  • You must have completed a minimum of an undergraduate degree in the three years prior to the commencement of the programme in February 2025.
  • You'll have a relevant degree - we’re pretty flexible on discipline, check out our business units for more information.

Applications for our Graduate programme are now open.

Can I apply for more than one role?
No need. Because you’ve done your research, you’ll apply for your first preference. In the application form we also ask you to let us know if you’d consider other areas, once you have filled that part out we'll take care of the rest.

What does the recruitment process involve?
Our process has five steps - check them out here!

Do I need to do a PwC Summer Internship to secure a graduate role?
No, not at all! An internship is an awesome opportunity, but it's not necessary to secure a graduate role.

Where can I attend an event or speak to someone?
We'd love to connect with you! Stay updated by following our PwC Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages, as well as keeping an eye on your tertiary careers portal for any upcoming events or opportunities to speak with someone from our team.

Do I need to convert my Grade Point Average (GPA) from an international institution to the New Zealand GPA rating system?
Yes, please ensure before you apply for a graduate role that you have converted your GPA to the New Zealand rating system.

Check with your tertiary institution for further information.

Am I eligible to apply if I am an international student currently enrolled in a New Zealand tertiary institution?
Yes, we welcome applications from international students. However, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • You'll need to have full working rights at the intended start date of the 2025 Graduate Programme
  • You’ll need to provide a copy of your passport and visa/work permit during the application process.
  • We suggest you contact the New Zealand Immigration Department for more information about working in New Zealand.

Do you have graduate roles at other times of the year?
While we generally don't offer graduate roles at other times, occasionally, specific roles may become available unexpectedly. We recommend keeping a close eye on this page for any opportunities that may come up.

What are my career opportunities?
At PwC, we're dedicated to fostering the growth of our team members, recognising that each individual's journey is unique. Your career's success is in your hands, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

You'll have access to a variety of resources aimed at nurturing your career. Whether it's leadership development programs, technical courses, or collaborating with subject matter experts during client engagements, every day presents an opportunity for personal growth and challenge.

We encourage you to engage in annual goal-setting and regular career discussions with your performance manager. These conversations provide a platform for you to express your passions and interests, guiding your professional development journey.

Do you accept applications from students studying towards their Masters Degree?
Yes, we welcome applications from students who are pursuing their Master's Degree. If you also have 1-2 years of professional work experience, we encourage you to explore opportunities on our Experienced Careers job board for additional options that may align with your qualifications and career goals.

How many roles are available?
This is a great question, but a hard one to answer as it changes every year based on the needs of our business. Our roles fill quickly so please get your application in as soon as possible.

Besides the development opportunities, you’ll also get support from us in the following ways:

  • Welcome week - getting set up for success

  • PwC business tools training

  • Business unit-specific technical training

  • Dedicated performance coaching

  • Volunteer days - supporting charities or causes

  • Access to PwC Community groups
