Eligibility

 
  • You’ll either be a New Zealand or Australian citizen or resident (eligible for all roles); or hold a valid work visa with 3 years duration at the commencement of the graduate programme and not require visa sponsorship from PwC in the future (for roles that are on the Tier 1 Green List).
  • You must have completed a minimum of an undergraduate degree in the three years prior to the commencement of the programme.
  • You'll have or be studying towards a relevant degree.

No, not at all! An internship is an awesome opportunity, but it's not necessary to secure a graduate role.

Yes, please ensure before you apply for a graduate role that you have converted your GPA to the New Zealand rating system.

Yes, we welcome applications from international students. However, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • You'll need to have full working rights at the intended start date of the 2026 graduate programme
  • You’ll need to provide a copy of your passport and visa during the application process.
  • You will only be eligible to apply for roles that are listed on the Tier 1 Green List. Please see the relevant FAQ for more details on this.
  • We suggest you contact Immigration New Zealand for more information about working in New Zealand.

Yes, we welcome applications from candidates on work visas. However, you will need to meet the following criteria: 

  • You'll need to have full working rights at the intended start date of the 2026 graduate programme. 
  • You’ll need to have 3 years on your work visa at the commencement of the graduate programme. You must also confirm you will not require visa sponsorship in the future. 
  • You will only be eligible to apply for roles that are listed on the Tier 1 Green List. Please see the relevant FAQ for more details on this.

If you’re an international student or on a work visa, you will only be able to apply for roles that are on the NZ Government’s Tier 1 Green List, such as positions in our Audit teams.  

Candidates on student or work visas are eligible to apply for the following roles:

  • 703616WD PwC Intern and Graduate Programme – Assurance – Audit
  • 703618WD PwC Intern and Graduate Programme – Assurance – Centre of Innovation & Technology
  • 703632WD PwC Graduate Programme – Risk Services – Internal Audit & GRC

If you apply for a role in our Consulting team, you will go through the same application and assessment stages, however, if you progress beyond this, instead of moving to interview stage you will move to an Assessment Centre. 

Our Assessment Centre for Auckland graduate & intern positions will take place at our Auckland office on Thursday 19th March 2026, and our Assessment Centre for Wellington & Christchurch graduate & intern positions will take place in our Wellington office on Tuesday 24th March 2026.

While we generally don't offer graduate roles at other times, occasionally, specific roles may become available unexpectedly. We recommend keeping a close eye on this page for any opportunities that may come up.

Yes, we welcome applications from students who are pursuing their Master's Degree. If you also have 1-2 years of professional work experience, we encourage you to explore opportunities on our Experienced Careers job board for additional options that may align with your qualifications and career goals.

This is a great question, but a hard one to answer as it changes every year based on the needs of our business. Our roles fill quickly so please get your application in as soon as possible.
