Brent enjoys developing a deep understanding of his clients’ business strategies and operations to deliver the best professional advice. He provides practical and commercial solutions to tax issues, as well as sound problem solving, local knowledge and global insight.
Brent’s clients range across a number of industries in the private business, local government, Māori business and multinational sectors. Brent has significant experience in the energy sector, from upstream oil and gas through to renewables, including business operations throughout New Zealand and across the globe. His specialties include tax planning, tax risk management, tax certainty and controversy. He’s particularly interested in inbound investment, energy, and Māori business. Brent loves helping clients to develop a well thought out plan, then working with them to ensure successful implementation.
Keeping a balance in life between work and family is important to Brent. He enjoys active sports and can often be found on his mountain bike, snow or water skis depending on the season. Brent is enjoying travelling to the various global locations where his family members are living.
