Director, PwC New Zealand
Louis has a huge admiration for Kiwis with an entrepreneurial spirit, who are seeking to convert their ideas and hard work into business success. His aim as an advisor is to complement his client’s own talents and instincts, in order to help them exploit opportunities and navigate the various challenges they encounter on their road to success.
As a Director within our Private Business team, Louis has the privilege of working with a variety of New Zealand private businesses, across different sectors and at various stages of the business life cycle. Whether it’s a start-up, an existing business expanding into a new market, or an owner considering their exit strategy, he is passionate about helping his clients achieve their goals. Louis also has the pleasure of supporting the Partner group in leading a team of fifty talented staff members.
While Louis enjoys working with private businesses on a broad range of commercial and financial issues, he also specialises in providing tax advice with a particular focus on private businesses of scale, fast growth clients, and family offices with passive wealth. He has specific sector experience in financial services, property, healthcare and export businesses.
Outside of work, Louis enjoys spending quality time with his wife Lisa and their three young boys. While sadly, his days of playing contact sport are now over, he still makes the odd cameo appearance for the PwC Bucket’s Basketball team and, as a season ticket holder with the New Zealand Breakers, he’s always keen to host a fellow supporter. Louis is also an avid musician, having played guitar all his life and having recently taken up the banjo (to his wife’s horror!).
