Phil Fisher

Phil enjoys building long term relationships with his clients, and solving their complex problems. Taking a very personal approach to client service, Phil often acts as a sounding board and will invest time in helping his clients consider all the opportunities as well as the risks.

As a Partner in our Wellington Tax practice, Phil’s primary focus is to provide the full suite of tax advisory and risk management services to central government and crown entity agencies, local government and their associated entities, as well as the tertiary and health sectors.

With more than 20 years of tax experience, Phil brings a deep understanding of the unique technical tax issues that arise in the public sector, along with a broad perspective of the wider legislative and political considerations. He has significant experience providing expert tax advice to a range of audiences, including those with a limited understanding of tax legislation. He has also enjoyed being involved in advising charitable organisations in the not-for-profit sector, ensuring they understand and manage their tax risk.
