Partner, PwC New Zealand
Tom loves building strong relationships with his clients and their businesses. This enables him to quickly provide valuable insights and effectively manage their tax risk. Tom also believes that transforming compliance is an opportunity to increase efficiency for businesses. He has a particular interest in tax policy, and adds value to clients through keeping them up to date on tax developments and his deep technical skills.
As a tax partner in the Wellington office, Tom leads the delivery of services to clients across a broad spectrum of sectors and structures. He provides a mixture of compliance and advice across all tax types including corporate and personal income tax, GST, employer taxes, indirect taxes, structuring, M&A, global taxes, cross border, and tax developments.
Tom started his career with PwC in London in 2003 before making the move to Wellington, New Zealand in 2009. He advises listed companies, multinationals, high net worth individuals and private businesses.
Outside of work Tom enjoys spending time with Veronica and their two boys. They can regularly be found flying down a hill on their bikes or skis. Tom is also learning new DIY skills but has found out the hard way that soft accountants hands are particularly susceptible to splinters.
