Cloud computing means computing resources that are usually provided by a third party over the internet, including on-demand access to networks, servers, data storage, databases, software and applications.
PwC New Zealand uses third party cloud providers to support us in providing our services and to help provide, run and manage our internal IT systems. The servers powering and facilitating that cloud infrastructure are located in secure data centres around the world and data may be stored in any one of them. Further details of these providers are included below.
The following cloud computing providers provide cloud services that are a core part of PwC’s operations infrastructure firmwide, and some of these platforms underpin a variety of software applications that we use in our client engagements. In addition to the cloud providers storage capabilities and controls, PwC has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security designed to protect client information from loss, misuse, alteration or destruction.
