Actuarial
The Actuarial team makes financial sense of an uncertain future. Think long-term valuations wherever there are mathematical or statistical models involving risk and uncertainty to place a value on potential events in the future.
We work extensively in the Financial Services sector and carry out a number of valuations for Crown entities, but our skill set is also useful for climate risk quantitative assessments, customer lifetime valuations and measuring other long-term non-financial outcomes as well.
Working in our team, you'll enjoy learning and solving complicated problems. You'll bring a wide range of skills to your work, including (but not limited to) knowledge of mathematics, statistics, finance, accounting, and economics as well as keen analytical and problem-solving skills, strong computer and communication skills.
If you are looking for a Summer Internship or Graduate role, this is what are you likely to have studied:
- Actuary
- Bachelor of Computer Science
- Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics, engineering plus computer science, data science, machine learning.
- Any Bachelor level + qualification where there is a mathematics/stats focus.
