We help shareholders and executives find value by providing mergers and acquisitions advice, financial-focused strategic advice, modelling services, business and intangible asset valuations and general corporate finance advice. Our work includes identifying targets for acquisition, raising business capital, valuing companies or intangible assets, assisting with executive incentive plans, assisting in deals, negotiating strategies, providing advice on dividend policy or capital structure and much more.

Deals Strategy

With our Deals Strategy team, you will be at the leading edge of value creation and commercial due diligence in New Zealand. This is an ideal area for individuals from diverse backgrounds who are curious about solving challenging business problems.

Our team undertakes detailed commercial due diligence on target companies. We assess a comprehensive range of critical aspects: the market scale and dynamics, target company performance and market perceptions, the impact of competitors, the impact of disruption and new technologies, and the potential upside in the target organisation’s business plan. If you like "getting under the hood" of a complex problem, then Deals Strategy could be a good fit for you.

A career in the Treasury and Debt Capital Advisory team involves understanding global macroeconomic trends and assisting organisations in identifying, analysing, and managing their exposure to financial markets.

Virtually every business is exposed to the financial markets in some way. This can be through foreign exchange (FX), commodity prices, interest rates, debt and liquidity, or investments. These exposures can have a massive impact on an organisation's profitability and shareholder value. At PwC we help ensure these risks are quantified and effectively managed.

We support businesses by designing robust policies and hedging strategies to mitigate risk and identify opportunities in financial markets. We also work with businesses to help achieve their capital structure and financing objectives (both debt and equity) through debt refinancing and Initial Public Offering’s (IPO). Our clients can be small and midsize enterprises (SME), councils, or large publicly listed companies. We provide expert hedging strategy and capital structure advice to form solutions that help organisations navigate what can be volatile and uncharted waters.
