Simon Harger-Forde

As a passionate advocate and leader for social change, Simon is focussed on supporting the transformation needed to disrupt entrenched challenges in health and social care, and knows that some of our traditional ways of working won't get us there.
Simon brings significant experience in social and health care policy, planning and strategy, behaviour change, and public health. He has worked in the health and social sectors in Aotearoa and the UK for over 23 years across policy, consulting, senior planning and funding roles, and as a clinician and manager in youth health, public health and primary care services.
Trained in social work, Simon has worked as a clinician alongside young people and families. He founded social change agency Innovate Change in 2012, which he led for seven years. Innovate Change merged with Innovation Unit in 2018. Simon has also held senior leadership and commissioning roles with the NZ AIDS Foundation, a youth health service, a central London primary care trust, and the Hutt Valley District Health Board.
