David Lamb

David advises a range of private and listed mid-market companies on growth, complexity, and transformation through practical commercial and tax advice. His work includes strategic client assignments, senior relationship development, and helping clients navigate issues where innovation, investment, AI, and business change intersect. He also co-leads PwC New Zealand’s R&D incentives team, reflecting his strong interest in emerging areas of science, innovation, and technology enabled change.

David combines long standing client advisory experience with a significant leadership track record across PwC. His sector experience includes financial services, with a particular focus on insurance and leasing, food and fibre, and emerging technology companies. He has held a range of senior leadership roles spanning business leadership, people and culture, and market facing roles, most recently as national Tax and Legal Services Leader.

Outside work, David enjoys spending time with his wife Melanie and their three teenage children, along with golf, travel, and the boating when time permits.
