Deals Leader, PwC New Zealand
As Deals Leader at PwC New Zealand, Gareth specialises in transaction services and business valuation, but also has significant experience in the areas of restructuring, financial modelling, transaction integration and support for mergers and acquisitions.
Gareth joined the PwC Deals team in January 2015, after 15 years with another professional services firm, where he spent the past six years as a transaction advisory Partner.
Gareth brings to the team extensive experience in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory, including due diligence lead roles on a large number of local and international private equity deals, since 2004. He was reporting accountant for the recent NZX listings of Oceania and Tegel Foods, he has also been involved in numerous major corporate transactions, including the IAG acquisition of AMI, Fletcher Building/Higgins and the sale of 50 per cent of Silver Fern Farms to Shanghai Maling.
Before joining PwC, he led a New Zealand corporate restructuring team for four years, delivering numerous high-profile Independent Business Review (IBR) reports for Australasian and global banks, syndicates and mezzanine financiers.
