Matt Meehan

Matt has over 10 years of experience in commercial property, portfolio management and strategic advice. As a Director in PwC New Zealand’s Real Estate Advisory team, Matt is driven by working with people to find better ways of doing things and achieving more valuable outcomes for his clients.

In his role at PwC, Matt regularly works on strategic reviews of portfolios, specific assets or property team structures, strategic asset management plans and options assessments for community redevelopment and regeneration.

As a founding member of the Government Property Group (formerly Property Management Centre of Expertise), he has been involved in developing the inaugural Government National Property Strategy along with a suite of associated standards and guidelines, researching and reporting on opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness across the Crown property portfolio, and managing the Group’s relationship with the Minister.

Matt brings a strong understanding of intra-Crown perspectives, with experience at The Treasury New Zealand, where he worked on Long Term Investment Planning, the Investor Confidence Rating system and asset performance measures, and the New Zealand Ministry of Health, as well as working on various cross-government initiatives.
