Quynh Vallance

Quynh is extremely people centric and passionate about creating an inclusive and diverse culture. She believes that people and connectedness are the key drivers to achieving success. She is highly driven by the opportunity to help her clients succeed with her practical and solutions focussed approach.

As a tax specialist in the corporate tax team, Quynh has strong experience in both compliance and consulting, working with a wide variety of clients with a cross over between private business and corporate clients. Her clients include small to medium businesses, large corporates, trusts, charities and high net wealth individuals across sectors such as construction, property, technology, shipping and infrastructure. She also has local government experience advising a number of council controlled organisations, as well as having spent time working at the Council. 

She has consulted on all key aspects of tax legislation, including capital projects, charities tax law, business structuring and transactions, and indirect taxes. Quynh is also a big advocate for digital transformation, helping clients transform their finance functions through tech-enabled solutions, so they can build trust and sustainability in their compliance processes. 

Quynh has a particular focus on helping New Zealand businesses invest and expand overseas. This involves assisting businesses in navigating the complexities of international tax compliance, ensuring they understand and meet their tax obligations when operating in other countries, particularly in the US, UK and Australia. She also works closely with clients to ensure they have the right structures in place to manage commercial and tax risks, with the ability to strategically plan for future growth. 

Together with her husband Andy, Quynh is kept busy running around after their two young daughters. On their weekends, you’ll find them with family and friends, exploring the next best picnic spot or pottering around their veggie garden!
