Rich Day

Rich is a proud auditor and is passionate about working with clients to bring trust and confidence to their reporting. While the need for robust financial reporting is as important as ever, increasingly so is an organisation's delivery against its ESG strategies and objectives. Rich believes the role of audit is critical in building trust in reporting for Boards and the wider stakeholder community.

He is a flexible, responsive and commercial Partner who cares about his team and his clients. Building great relationships is personally important to him, as is building the capability of his audit team as they develop into highly capable professionals and future leaders. 

Rich works with a wide range of clients, including those in the real estate, education, aged care, treasury and financial services sectors, and he has significant audit, risk, accounting advisory and transaction experience. He was a founding member of our New Zealand International Financial Reporting Standards accounting advisory team, and also spent three years working in our Global Capital Markets Group based in London. He was responsible for assisting global financial services and real estate institutions with large scale transactions and the implementation of new accounting and reporting processes.

Rich has enjoyed several work and travel experiences overseas with his wife and two children and now resides in Auckland. Outside of the office his passions revolve around family, friends and all manners of sport. Winter weekends start with kids' sports and the summer months involve plenty of time at the beach. Rich also has a keen interest in his local community and currently sits on the Board of Trustees for Westmere School | Te Rehu.
