Partner and Asia Pacific Leader in Generative AI, PwC New Zealand
Scott is a leader in the field of emerging technology and spearheads Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. As a member of the PwC Global AI Council and Asia Pacific Generative AI leader, he is at the forefront of driving innovative technological solutions and shaping AI strategy within the PwC Network.
With a deep understanding of Generative AI, Scott collaborates with a wide variety of businesses including large corporates and multinationals, leading private enterprises and growth companies to help them harness the power of this transformative technology.
He works closely with boards and senior leadership teams across the Asia Pacific region to understand how capabilities like Generative AI or Augmented Reality can enhance their value proposition to customers and employees. This includes advising businesses on executive education, strategy development, pilot establishment and people change. Scott also advises on best practice risk and governance approaches.
Scott led the PwC New Zealand rollout of ChatPwC, an custom-built virtual intelligent assistant, powered by Generative AI, to more than 1,800 partners and staff within the secure PwC environment. It empowers our people to focus on higher-value tasks, and access information quickly and efficiently. With this tool, the firm is actively exploring the responsible use of Generative AI and its potential applications in our service delivery to clients. Across the global PwC network, PwC New Zealand is the first member firm in Asia Pacific and only the fifth worldwide to integrate this sophisticated AI technology into its wider workplace tools.
Scott’s background in private business equips him with a unique perspective on helping business owners achieve growth, manage risk, and attain success. Having personally experienced the challenges and rewards of being a small business owner, Scott brings a robust commercial outlook to his role.
Scott's contributions extend beyond his position at PwC. He has played a pivotal role in leading several of PwC's digital venture initiatives across New Zealand and the wider network, including the development of the PwC Academy - a platform that empowers professionals to enhance their skills and stay ahead in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending quality time with his wife Lisa and their two young children, as well as their two dogs. While he dedicated 20 years to representative touch rugby, he now enjoys fishing and playing golf during his free time. His passion for sports remains strong, and he continues to be an avid "sportswatcher”.
