Tom is passionate about making sense of macroeconomic trends, digesting the “big picture” and contextualising what it means for strategic risk management and treasury decisions. Tom values his role at PwC for the ability to create long-term relationships and value with a wide range of clients while working across all aspects of treasury and debt market.

Tom is a treasury advisor with over 14 years of experience working across a wide range of engagements, sectors and areas of treasury. His focus areas include foreign exchange risk management, interest rate, debt and liquidity risk management, digital enablement, and data analytics. Tom splits his time between ongoing retained client advisory and one-off treasury projects (such as Treasury Policy design, assessing risk frameworks and reviewing treasury operations) and is the product owner of PwC digital portal, Treasury Intelligence. He also leads a wide range of debt raising processes, capital structure assessments and the development of financing strategies. 

Tom has a BA (Hons, 1st class) in Economics and a BCom in Finance from the University of Otago and is a Certified Treasury Professional (AMCT) through the Association of Corporate Treasurers (UK). He also spent two years on secondment with PwC US, based in New York.

Outside of PwC, Tom enjoys getting outside with his young family and the occasional multi sport event.
