This eLearning helps you to easily and conveniently meet your ethical training requirements while gaining verifiable Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours.
CPD requirements for all CAANZ members from 1 July 2024:
The mandatory ethics training requirement increased from 2 to 6 hours per triennium for trienniums starting on or after 1 July 2024.
We’ve broken up the eLearn into four modules:
Module One
Understand and recognise the importance of ethics
Identify your ethical style
Module Two
Introduce you to CAANZ's Code of Ethics (COE) for Chartered Accountants
Learn the five fundamental principles of the Code
Learn the conceptual framework to identify, evaluate and address threats
Module Three
Learn to recognise the five key threats that the Code identifies
Learn to apply available safeguards to eliminate threats or reduce them to an acceptable level
Identify threats created from conflicts of interest
Module Four
Look at what the Code has to say about:
Professional appointments
Fee and employment remuneration arrangements
Marketing and gifts
A five step approach for dealing with ethical conflicts
Eight social media mistakes
