PwC welcomes 11 new partners, representing the firm's growth and confidence in the future and commitment to delivering the New Equation

1 July 2022

PwC New Zealand today welcomed 11 new partners, taking the partnership to 148. The new appointments strengthen the firm’s commitment to delivering The New Equation, which includes investing in areas critical to New Zealand’s future.

The 11 new partners have specialist expertise across business restructuring, business transformation, deals, digital transformation, financial assurance, tax and indirect tax, and technology. They will support the New Equation by working with their clients to deliver sustained outcomes across those areas essential to the long term growth and prosperity of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Mark Averill, Senior Partner and CEO of PwC New Zealand, says the appointment reflects the firm’s growth and confidence in the future, as well as its commitment to invest in the skills needed to bring The New Equation to life.

“Our strategy, The New Equation, brings together the best people, capability and technology to support our clients to build trust and deliver sustained outcomes for Aotearoa. Our new partners are already helping our clients to navigate the challenges of the current environment and these appointments recognise their commitment to supporting the longer term transformation of Aotearoa to respond to the major shifts shaping the world.”

Averill continues, “We are committed to being representative of the clients and communities we work with, and I’m pleased to share that of all the partners appointed in January and July 2022, over half identify as female or from an ethnically diverse background. I’m delighted to welcome these exceptional individuals to the partnership and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have on our people, our clients and our communities.”
