PwC New Zealand welcomes 10 new partners, appointments that align to the firm’s New Equation strategy and areas of focus.
Spanning data, digital transformation, Māori business, health outcomes, infrastructure, corporate finance, real estate, government policy and tax, the new partners support PwC’s commitment to invest in areas that are critical to building a successful future for Aotearoa.
Mark Averill, Senior Partner and CEO, says these partners collectively represent the range of skills the firm needs to bring The New Equation to life and reflect PwC’s continued commitment to inclusion and growing a more diverse leadership team.
“Strengthening these areas of focus is another step forward in delivering our strategy, to bring the best people, capability and technology together to support our clients, as they navigate the opportunities and challenges of the current environment. Our multidisciplinary model blends deep expertise across a broad range of capabilities, allowing us to help clients build trust with their stakeholders and deliver sustained outcomes. Our new partner appointments mean we now have a total of 143 across the firm.”
He says the strategy includes ensuring PwC reflects the communities its people live, work in and serve by attracting a more diverse range of voices. The new cohort of partners signifies PwC’s ongoing commitment to gender diversity. The appointments also support the firm's commitment to increasing ethnic identification at all levels across PwC, particularly for Māori and Pacific peoples.
Averill says “Success for any organisation, PwC included, is dependent on the diverse way leaders think, driving fundamental shifts in organisational culture, systems and ambition. I’m delighted to congratulate and welcome these ten new partners.”
